Date Night Outfit & Makeup Inspiration!

I just got this amazing "Lovers + Friends" dress from Revolve Clothing. I am OBSESSED with this site. EVERY order ships for free, offers free returns, and usually ships within one business day. When the package does ship, you typically get it the next day! I cannot say enough positive things about this site- seriously, go check it out.

Now onto this dress- its the perfect dress that you can dress down or dress up! It has unique draped skirt detailing on the side and fits like a glove. For those warmer summer nights, a pop of color is always fun. In the picture to the left, I paired this dress with some yellow heels from Zara. Unfortunately, I don't think that they are still available. For chillier evenings, you can easily pair this dress with some knee high boots (I bought mine from Bakers years ago) and a nice jacket (mine is from The Oxford Trunk).

This makeup look was inspired by a magazine spread of Kate Winslet! This look is simple to achieve and looks so beautiful for a night out. The Laura Mercier "Artist's Palette for the Eyes" was used for the eye shadows (if I find this palette in stock somewhere I will definitely let you know). Just find similar colors that you already have, you do not need to go find this palette. First, I used a very creamy and light shade on the eyelid (in Vanilla Nuts). I packed it on until it was bright enough for my liking! Then, I took a blending brush and a light brown color (in the color Fresco) and began blending it in my crease and slightly above my crease. This color is used as the transition color, so that everything looks blended and soft. The third step is to take a deeper brown color (I used the color Truffle) and use this in the crease to define the eyes more. Again, take that same blending brush once you are finished to make sure it all blends. The fourth step is to take a dark color, such as black (I used Espresso Bean) and apply it to the outer "v" area of your eye. Don't forget to blend this out too! After the colors are blended, take a highlighting shade (I used Sparkling Dew) and apply it underneath the brown bone. The last step is to add some color underneath your eyes! I used a pencil brush to do this and just used the shades Fresco and Truffle again to achieve that smoked out look.

I included a picture of the palette, so you can compare the colors I used to colors that you may already have!

Brows are SO important- I cannot stress this enough. They completely shape your whole face! I went for a more bold brow look here, using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in "Dark Brown". I also went for a winged liner look, using the Marc Jacobs Magic Marc'cer Precision Pen

For the lips, I went with a neutral color (per the Kate Winslet look) using the Lipstick Queen Sinner in "Bare Nude" paired with a nude lip liner. I didn't add gloss to keep it as a matte finish, but feel free to add one if you prefer!

Here is a list of the accessories I paired this date night outfit with, in case you are interested:
Dogeared necklace.
House of Harlow necklace.
House of Harlow earrings.

Lastly, pair your look off with these AMAZING Spitfire sunnies!

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions please let me know. If you like these kind of posts, let me know and I will try to do them more often [:
